Got some questions? we have the answers!
Locations
1Does every location require an Access Point?
Yes, it does! Some may even require more than one to make sure the entire location is covered.
Access points -- or devices -- are the physical hardware that your guests' phones or laptops connect to to get access to the internet. Every location will need at least one access point, or else your guests can't connect!
Depending on the access point and the size and layout of your location, you may need to use multiple access points for full coverage.
2How many locations and access points can I manage with ClickGen?
With your ClickGen subscription, you can manage an unlimited number of Access Points! It all depends on how many you need to get the coverage you want.
3Can I have more than one campaign per location?
Yes, it is possible to have multiple campaigns for a location! You can have campaigns run on a a schedule or if you just want to mix things up you can have a campaign run at a specific time of the day or week.
4When deploying multiple routers at the same location, do they have to be the same model?
No they don't have to be, you can mix and match!
You can use multiple device models -- they are then all managed under the same campaign and location, so it doesn't matter if they're all the same model or not!
5Where do I find the analytics for each location?
In your dashboard you can find the analytics in your location reports. If you have multiple locations you can combine them to see an overview of all your assigned locations.
Apps and Automation
1Do I need social media accounts to use MyWiFi?
You don't need social media accounts to sign up for ClickGen, or to use our core features.
You will, however, need social media accounts to be able to create login apps for your guests to use. These are often the best login options to use, so we do generally recommend having social media accounts for your business, even beyond the organic marketing potential that social media presents!
2Why is Google login not supported?
Google login was previously supported as a login option.
However Google discontinued Google Login in early 2017 because Google has removed the ability to perform Google OAuth through captive portal browsers (web-views) for iOS and Android.
More information regarding this change can be found in this Google Developer Blog Post:

3Which autoresponders do you integrate with?
We currently integrate with a number of autoresponders, including:
GetResponse
MailChimp
iContact
ActiveCampaign
We also integrate with Zapier which allows you to send data to hundreds of other third-party apps.
General
1Will my business/personal internet be secure?
Yes, it will -- MyWiFi doesn't affect your personal or business wireless network.
In fact, it will be more secure, since there will be no more handing out or posting your network's password. Simply password protect your main router with a password, and don't share it with your customers.
This way, you can continue to use your main network to transmit personal and financial information, while still providing your customers with free WiFi.
2Do you offer Corporate Website Customization?
We dont offer direct customisation for your business but we do have partners that are familiar and able to assist with website development and customisations. Refer to our Partners Page for any assistance.
3Do I need an internet connection to use MyWiFi?
Yes, you do! ClickGen requires an active internet connection to operate, and can't currently be used offline in any capacity.
We generally recommend a minimum of 50MB upload and download speed to ensure a good experience for your guests.
4Do you supply a router?
No, you will have to purchase your own router. We have IT partners that are familiar with the ClickGen system and highly capable of setting up your network.
5Why choose free WiFi over data?
In a world of free data plans, free WiFi can seem superfluous -- but it doesn't need to be! Offering free WiFi doesn't always have to be about saving data -- loading webpages and downloading attachments is almost always faster on WiFi over data!
This is especially true for locations that are inside buildings --a roof over your head can slow down your data throughput by 50%! And even worse, depending on the structure of the building, it could be eliminated completely -- there may not be enough signal strength to use data at all.
On top of that, you can use the collected data to run a contest -- and then, to enter, they'll have to connect!
6Do you provide marketing materials?
Yes, we do!
Once you've signed up we will provide you with a custom designed Free Wi-Fi Poster or Connect board. More details will be discussed with your account manager.
